ABOUT THE SOLD SISTERS
Real Estate Runs in the Family.
We’re Natalie and Madi—sisters, second-generation Realtors, and proof that sometimes you end up exactly where you swore you’d never be.
We grew up with real estate signs in the garage, MLS books on the kitchen table, and plenty of Saturdays spent waiting in the car while Dad showed houses. Neither of us planned to follow in his footsteps.
And yet… here we are.
WHERE IT ALL STARTED
Before We Were the Sold Sisters...
Real estate was part of our family long before either of us thought it would become our career.
Our dad, Greg Call, spent 48 years in the business, and some of our earliest memories have real estate woven into them. He’d come home late and spread his paperwork across the kitchen table—carbon-paper offers, giant MLS books and all—while we played nearby. There were real estate signs in the garage, a separate phone line for his business, and eventually a cell phone so enormous it practically took up the trunk of his red Audi.
Saturdays often meant all four sisters piled into the car while Dad met with clients or showed homes. We got pretty good at entertaining ourselves—singing along to Barbra Streisand tapes and chewing the old gum we found in his glove box. Other days, we’d tag along to his office and play hide-and-seek while he worked…
And we were recruited early. We helped deliver Fourth of July pop-bys around the neighborhood and even handed out toothbrushes at Halloween with Dad’s name and phone number printed on the handle. Looking back, we may have been his first marketing team.
We watched our dad work incredibly hard, but what stuck with us most wasn’t how many homes he sold. It was how he treated people.
And although neither of us realized it at the time, we were learning how to do this job long before either of us had a real estate license.
FUNNY HOW THINGS WORK OUT
Neither of Us Planned on Becoming a Realtor.
In fifth grade, Natalie chose Dad for a career-shadowing assignment. After following him around, meeting clients, and enjoying the sodas at his office, she came to a very clear conclusion:
Real estate was not for her.
Instead, she spent seven years with Marriott Hotels, working her way up from the reservation call center to a downtown hotel and planning a career in hospitality. She loved the work and even started pursuing a hospitality management degree at the University of Utah, with dreams of eventually becoming a sales manager and booking large events.
Then she became a mom. She planned to return to Marriott, but the demanding schedule and cost of childcare made it difficult. Dad offered her a flexible, part-time job she could do from home—putting listings in the classifieds, gathering feedback after showings, reporting back to sellers and helping wherever the team needed her. Before long, he encouraged her to get her real estate license so she could do more.
Within a few months, Natalie was licensed, the team’s transaction coordinator left, and she stepped into the role—often with a baby in tow. As the years passed, her responsibilities grew. She began working directly with buyers and sellers while learning the business alongside Dad and Brock.
Somewhere along the way, the career she'd ruled out in fifth grade became hers after all.
Madi was even more certain.
She was never going to be a Realtor.
She earned a degree in illustration and graphic design and spent 21 years in the graphics industry, much of that time managing major projects, employees and multi-million-dollar clients. She loved solving problems, organizing moving pieces and working with people—but real estate? Nope.
Eventually, Natalie started reminding her that Dad wouldn't work forever and she couldn't take on everything alone. Madi got her real estate license in 2017 as a “Plan B,” and in January 2019 she finally left her longtime career and joined The Greg & Brock Team.
The transition was… humbling. As Madi describes it, learning real estate felt a little like “learning Japanese and how to swim” at the same time.
Turns out, those 21 years weren't a detour. Project management, problem solving, design, organization and managing lots of different personalities are pretty useful skills when you're guiding people through a real estate transaction.
1978 — age one, hard at work with Dad.
BETTER TOGETHER
And Then There Were Two.
For years, Natalie had worked alongside Dad and Brock, but as Dad started talking more seriously about retirement, one question kept coming up: How was she going to take on his busy business and still have the flexibility to be a mom?
Enter big sister.
When Madi joined the team in 2019, neither of us knew exactly what working together would eventually become. There was an adjustment period—after all, Madi was used to being the oldest sister and the one in charge, while Natalie suddenly found herself teaching her big sister the ropes. That went about as smoothly as you might imagine. 😉
But we quickly discovered that we were better together.
We could bounce ideas off each other, divide and conquer when life got busy, catch things the other might miss, and step in for each other when needed. Most importantly, working together gave us a way to be fully committed to our clients without having to choose between our business and our families.
There was just one problem: we were still trying to do things exactly like Dad.
And we aren't Dad.
We wanted to carry forward everything he'd taught us while creating something that actually felt like us. So during one brainstorming session, we started throwing around ideas for our own identity. Most of the names were… not great.
Then Madi said:
Sold Sisters.
We laughed. And pretty much immediately knew that was it.
Madi made a playlist the next day with “Hey, Soul Sister” as the obvious inspiration—and yes, we've been known to sing “Hey, SOLD Sister” to each other ever since.
Today, we split our business 50/50 and work together whenever we can. Our goal was never to become two versions of Greg. It was to take what he taught us and build something that was genuinely ours.
WHAT DAD TAUGHT US
Take Care of People, and They’ll Take Care of You.
Our dad built a remarkable real estate career, but the lesson he passed down to us had very little to do with houses.
He taught us to take care of people.
Dad would spend hours talking with someone even when there was no guarantee they would ever buy or sell a home with him. He listened. He showed up. He looked for ways to help. And after 48 years in real estate, people remember him as much for how he made them feel as for the homes he helped them buy and sell.
He also taught us something we've never forgotten:
“Don't figure your commission amount. When you do, you're working for yourself and the money—not your clients and their best interest.”
That philosophy still shapes the way we run our business today. We want our clients to know that they mattered to us, that we looked out for them, and that they had someone genuinely in their corner through what can be one of life's most stressful transitions.
That's the legacy we're most interested in carrying forward.
TWO SISTERS. ONE TEAM.
Two Realtors Really Are Better Than One.
We’re similar in a lot of ways—sometimes embarrassingly so. We show up wearing nearly identical outfits without planning it, order the same things at restaurants, quote the same dumb movie lines, and have been called some version of “Matalie” for most of our lives.
But working together has shown us just how valuable it is to have two people looking out for the same client.
Madi is the planner. Her background in project management and graphic design means she loves organization, details, marketing, and keeping all the moving pieces moving. She’s thoughtful, fiercely loyal, and has a knack for reading people and understanding what they need—even when they don’t always say it. She has a soft heart, but she’s also not afraid to have an honest conversation when one is needed.
Natalie is more outgoing and naturally connects with people. She’s thoughtful,
caring, and really good at thinking through a problem from every angle. Madi says she’s “sooo smart,” which Natalie would like noted here because little sisters rarely get this kind of thing in writing.
We bounce ideas off each other, catch things the other might miss, talk each other down when one of us starts to spiral, and occasionally step in with a well-timed, “What she meant to say was…”
For our clients, that means two perspectives, two sets of experience, and two people paying attention—without paying for two Realtors.
For us, it means always having someone in our corner. And we think our clients feel that, too.
ENOUGH ABOUT US
Tell Us About You.
Whether you’re thinking about buying, selling, moving to Northern Utah, or you just have a real estate question you’ve been kicking around, we’d love to hear what’s going on.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you reach out. Sometimes the best place to start is simply a conversation.
No pressure. No sales pitch. Just two sisters who are happy to help.
